Twentieth Century British History covers the variety of British history in this century in all its aspects. It links the many different and specialized branches of historical scholarship with work in political science and related disciplines. The journal seeks to transcenc traditional disciplinary boundaries in order to foster the study of patterns of change and continuity across the twentieth century. The editors are committed to publishing work that examines the British experience within a comparative context whether European or Anglo-American.

Modern Judaism provides a distinctive, interdisciplinary forum for discussion of the modern Jewish experience since the Haskalah, the Jewish Enlightenment. Its contributors address topics pertinent to the understanding of Jewish life today and the forces that have shaped that experience, including the Zionist movement and the establishment of the State of Israel, the socio-political role assumed by literary works of art, and the rise of modern anti-Semitism and its devastating climax in the Holocaust.

Modern Rheumatology publishes original papers in English on research pertinent to rheumatology and associated areas such as pathology, physiology, clinical immunology, microbiology, biochemistry, experimental animal models, pharmacology, and orthopedic surgery. Case reports and occasional reviews of topics which may be of wide interest to the readership will be accepted. In addition, concise papers of special scientific importance that represent definitive and original studies will be considered. Letters should be limited to commentaries on previous articles published in Modern Rheumatology and subjects relating to rheumatology and the Japan College of Rheumatology. Rapid Communications should be very short reports of cases or research findings, with no abstract. Other types of articles may be published at the discretion of the Editorial Board. Papers are welcomed from members of the Japan College of Rheumatology and nonmembers alike. Six issues and a supplement are published per year. Papers may be submitted at any time.

Molecular Biology and Evolution (MBE) publishes research at the interface between molecular and evolutionary biology. The journal publishes investigations of molecular evolutionary patterns and processes, tests of evolutionary hypotheses that use molecular data, and studies that use molecular evolutionary information to address questions about biological function at all levels of organization. Reports of work on comparative and evolutionary genomics and the evolution of molecular structure and function are particularly welcome.

MHR publishes articles on the molecular aspects of human reproductive physiology and pathology, endocrinology, andrology,gonadal function, gametogenesis, fertilization, embryo development, implantation, pregnancy and contraception. Reproductive genetics is also an important part of MHR. Studies on animal models are welcome as long as a clear relevance to human reproduction can be shown. Published papers include peer-reviewed original research reports, short review articles and commentaries. MHR is published on behalf of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology.

Monthly Notices is one of the world's leading primary research journals in astronomy and astrophysics, as well as one of the longest established. It publishes the results of original research in positional and dynamical astronomy, astrophysics, radio astronomy, cosmology, space research and the design of astronomical instruments.
